Insurance Agents Newsletters
Your competition hopes you don’t have a web site...
...which is exactly why you need one. If a prospect is expecting your call, it’s likely s/he has already searched the Internet for more information about you. Your competitors have created web sites for their agencies, have you? If your competition isn’t reason enough to create an agency web site, consider the following…
Agency web site = 24/7/365 office. The Internet cannot shut down for lunch, in the evening or throughout the weekend. With a web site, potential consumers will always be able to find you. Consumers shopping for insurance online research plans at any given time of day. This gives the consumer the information s/he is looking for and saves minutes on your clock.
Save time and put more money in your pocket. Forget postage. Minimize paperwork. Why mail coverage information to your prospects when you can put all the information s/he is looking for on your web site? Reinforce your image as a reliable, professional agent. Building a business without maintaining an online presence is the equivalent of attending a conference and forgetting business cards. How else will your potential customers quickly and easily find you? Whether you have a staff of 20 or zero, maintaining a site for your agency will bolster your professional image and connect you with customers searching for your services.
“Insuring” a peaceful work environment
As a successful insurance agent, there’s no doubt your typical day at work can occasionally be overwhelming. From following up with prospects to getting on the phone with a lead, your day is usually jam-packed with tasks to keep your agency running successfully. Just because it’s busy, however, doesn’t mean your day needs to be chaotic. Follow these simple ideas from blogger Leo Babauta of the ZenHab-its blog to curb the chaos of your schedule and ensure a peaceful workday.
Create a morning routine. And make it a relaxing one. That could include exercise, a shower or quiet working time. It could also mean getting up earlier so you’re not so rushed, then doing little rituals (like having a quiet cup of coffee and reading) that will ensure your day is started peacefully.
Prepare the night before. An evening routine is also essential to starting your day right. This might include things like choosing your three most important tasks for the next day, so you know what you’re going to do when you wake up.
Take breaks and stretch. While focusing on one task at a time is important, it’s also important to take breaks when you can. Get up, stretch, get a glass of water. Massage your shoulders, neck and head. It keeps you relaxed throughout the day.
Learn to focus on the present. Instead of worrying about what you have to do in the future, and instead of reliving things you did in the past, focus on what you’re doing right now. This can be difficult, as our minds have a tendency to wander to other things, but it’s simply a matter of practice - be aware of where your mind is, and when it drifts to other things, gently bring it back to the present. This helps keep your mind in a peaceful place all day long.
Roll with the punches. There will always be things that go wrong. What is important is how we react to them—do we get stressed and upset? Or do we accept what has happened, and make a calm decision about what to do now? When things get overwhelming, take a step back to get some perspective.
We hope you will give us a chance to show you how our business can help grow yours.
